Winter Solstice 2020 – The “Christmas Star”

December 21st, just after twilight, Jupiter and Saturn aligned, and lo and behold, there was the “Christmas Star.” I have been tracking these two celestial bodies intently since early last spring. These two planets have chased through my thoughts and dreams and kept my spirit inspired. On the solstice, as I peered through my longest lens, I saw the moons orbiting Jupiter. It more profoundly dawned on me just how minuscule we are—conjunction complete. I hope my heart, mind, and spirit remain more intricately connected with our vast universe.

Hope and joy illuminate my life. I will continue to dream of nebulas, constellations, galaxies, as well as our sun, moon, and planets. As 2020 passes, let’s cast our wishes on those distant stars for goodwill to one another and inspiration for all.
