Holy man at Pashupatinath temple
The encounter with the subject was funny. He would be described by some people as a sadhu (holy man), and by others as a fake sadhu. A sadhu is a Hindu holy man. It’s probably just better to call him a holy man. It’s not for me to guess his religious convictions. I offered some rupees to take photos of him, but apparently, I did not offer enough. I wound up giving him more rupees. Many holy men smoke pot, and Shiva is considered the God of cannabis. The police turn the other way when it comes to the holy men and their pot-smoking habits. Several holy men and women gather all over the grounds of Pashupatinath.
