KASANDRA MCNEIL
Kasandra McNeil’s love of writing and literature surfaced in college, and she graduated with a degree in English and a minor in art. While working as a freelance journalist for The Chicago Tribune, photography would be her canvas. In her black and white darkroom, McNeil learned how to translate colors into shades of gray—the hours McNeil spent in her darkroom proved invaluable when she later began to paint. For the past 20 years, McNeil has been a full-time painter. She has a studio in her farmhouse in Southeastern Kentucky.
